Making the Bed Work Harder
Despite underwhelming sales and waning public interest, the TeslaCybertruck is undeniably a tough and capable electric pickup. Unplugged Performance is now looking to capitalize on the truck’s utilitarian character with a new two-level bed storage slider system designed to be just as rugged, while offering added flexibility without compromise.
Unplugged Performance is a California-based shop that specializes in Tesla EVs, producing aftermarket components such as 20-inch forged wheels for the Cybertruck. Its latest offering – a bed storage slider system – is constructed from stainless steel, with the top platform rated to support more than 1,000 pounds. The unit also features heavy-duty mechanical sliders and latches that allow it to glide forward and backward within the bed.

Organized Under Armor
When retracted, the system allows Cybertruck owners to access the under-bed “smuggler’s bay” while still preserving usable bed space for additional cargo. When extended toward the tailgate, it provides easier access to the storage compartment, which Unplugged Performance says can accommodate tools, construction materials, off-roading gear, and other equipment.
The company also noted that the bed storage slider system retains access to the factory L-track mounts and the bed power outlet. It also allows the tonneau cover to close even with the storage extended.
The Cybertruck boasts a segment-leading payload capacity of up to 2,500 pounds, surpassing rivals such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, which is rated at up to 2,235 pounds. That should make hauling Unplugged Performance’s bed storage slider system – even when fully loaded – well within its capabilities. The Tesla electric pickup also offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 11,000 pounds in dual- and tri-motor configurations.

The aftermarket shop lists the new bed storage slider system at a retail price of $4,995 and recommends local installation to ensure professional fitment and setup support. It is designed specifically for field teams – such as engineering crews and event support staff – where transporting tools and equipment is essential.
For buyers seeking something more eye-catching than purely practical, the company also offers other Cybertruck upgrades, including 24-inch gold wheels. It also provides a comprehensive off-road package featuring components such as a bull bar, a lift kit, and beadlock wheels engineered to enhance traction in challenging terrain.
