Huawei has officially confirmed the global launch date of the Mate 80 Pro. The announcement will happen on February 26th, as teased last week. This is just days ahead of the MWC 2026 event. The Mate flagship debuted in China last year in November alongside the Mate X7 foldable and is now expanding globally. Besides the Mate 80 Pro, Huawei will also launch new TWS earbuds and a smartwatch at the venue.

Huawei’s South Africa X handle has confirmed the news officially. There’s also a new teaser video regarding the product announcement. This shows what products will be debuting at the event later this month. The post on X has the caption “Now is your run” theme, and the teaser video also highlights runners on the track.
The starting point of the running track in the video shows a giant dial, which possibly could be a subtle hint for the Huawei Watch GT Runner smartwatch. As the video progresses, we see TWS earbuds, which are believed to be the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5. At the finish line is the final reveal, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro.
