Lenovo seems to be gearing up to introduce its next Legion gaming tablet. On Weibo, Lenovo has reportedly confirmed its new Legion Y700 tablet. The company is also teasing its design through poster images, which reveal a unique RGB ring light on the rear. Meanwhile, a Weibo leak reveals the specs of the upcoming Lenovo Legion tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power.
The Lenovo Legion Y700 promo images show a unique RGB light
Let’s start things with the poster images. The Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet can be seen in black and white colors. It has a single rear camera, housed in a rectangular module alongwith an RGB ring light. We can see the engraving of “50MP Camera.” The volume and power buttons are present on the right edge. The back panel has ‘Legion’ and ‘Lenovo’ branding.
There’s no word from Lenovo about its global release. For now, the tablet will only be launching in China. Besides the promo images, leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo has shared some key specs of the Lenovo tablet.
Lenovo Legion tablet specs leak reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 boost
As per the leak, the Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is Qualcomm’s latest. To recall, the Legion Tab Gen 3 came with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Gen 4 arrived with Snapdragon 8 Elite power. The Legion Y700 will reportedly sport an 8.8-inch 3K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. While this should please gamers, it’s still an LCD panel and not AMOLED. It may house a 9,000mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade over Gen 3’s 6,550mAh battery.
Lastly, the leaker also says the Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet will launch in China in March. Maybe we’ll learn more details about its global release after that.
