In typical Google fashion, they have already announced the release date for the new Google Pixel 10a through a short teaser video. At the end of the video, it shows that the Google Pixel 10a release date is indeed February 18, 2026. Which puts it about a month earlier than the Google Pixel 9a release date from last year.
Pre-orders will start on February 18, 2026, and they should start shipping a few weeks later. The Google Pixel 10a colors should include Obsidian, Porcelain, Berry, and Lavender.
Specs for the Google Pixel 10a have also leaked out, showing that there’s very little change from the Pixel 9a that launched last year. Which is not a huge surprise, though many of us were expecting to see some updates to the camera, since the sensors are fairly small on the Pixel 9a.
But we’re expecting to still see a 6.3-inch display, powered by the Tensor G4 and up to 256GB of storage. It’ll also likely stick to 8GB of RAM, especially with the huge increase in RAM prices over the past few months. Google will also include quite a few new AI features and Gemini features with the Pixel 10a, as that is the big thing Google is pushing.
Interestingly, we expect that the battery will remain at 5,100mAh – the same as the Pixel 9a. Which is also larger than a lot of flagships that cost way more. Like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is 5,000mAh.
Finally, let’s talk about the Google Pixel 10a price. The Google Pixel 9a price was $499 for the 128GB model and $599 for the 256GB model. We’re expecting the price to stay the same, but with the recent price increases for RAM and NAND storage, we could see a $50 price increase here, which would make this a lot tougher sell – especially if it is identical to the Google Pixel 9a specs.
