Carr Properties announced that The Wilson, its trophy office project in downtown Bethesda, is now fully leased.
This milestone follows Carr’s signing of two new long-term leases. GEICO signed a 21,000-square-foot expansion lease on an additional floor, and Barry’s, a fitness studio, signed a 4,060-square-foot retail lease at the ground floor of the building.
Asher Inman of CBRE represented the insurance company in the deal. Bernie McCarthy, Danny Sheridan, and Amanda Davis of JLL, along with Ryan Lopez of Carr, represented the landlord. Kim Stein and Jennifer Price of KLNB represented Barry’s, and Ryan Lopez represented the landlord in the deal.
GEICO, which currently leases 100,000 square feet across five floors of the building, has expanded its total footprint to 121,000 square feet with the addition of a sixth-floor lease. Barry’s new retail space at The Wilson marks the fitness brand’s first Maryland location. GEICO and Barry’s join existing tenants, including FOX 5 DC, ProShares, UBS Group, and Walker & Dunlop.
