Amazon has a pretty good discount for the MacBook Pro M5 right now, where you can pick one up for as low as $1,449. That’s going to save you $150 off of its regular price, making it a great time to upgrade.
Apple has not yet announced any M5 Pro or M5 Max-based Mac’s, and it doesn’t sound like they will, as rumors of the M6 series have already started to creep up. And we’re expecting to see M6 Mac’s launch as soon as this Fall.
The new M5 MacBook Pro is the latest MacBook Pro from Apple, and it will be available for at least a few more months. We don’t expect to see the M6 until this Fall. This is the smaller 14.2-inch model, which is small but mighty. It sports a stunning Liquid Retina XDR display and has pretty incredible battery life. Apple’s battery life numbers did improve from the M3 to the M4, actually. The company is touting up to 16 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 24 hours of video streaming. These numbers were 15 and 22 hours on the M3 model. Of course, this is thanks to the larger 72.4-Whr lithium battery inside.
With 16GB of RAM standard on the M5 MacBook Pro, you’re getting plenty of RAM for things like Apple Intelligence, which is always a good thing. Additionally, since macOS does use Swap, you likely won’t need much more than 16GB. But Apple does sell the 24GB and 36GB models through Amazon, which is good to see.
This is a really good deal on the M5 MacBook Pro, and one that won’t last long.
