Ineos is adding a new Black Edition to the 2026 Grenadier lineup, packaging a high-spec build with a fixed, all-black look for buyers who want the most premium version without working through a long options list.
The edition is available on both the Grenadier Station Wagon SUV and the Quartermaster pickup, and it arrives alongside broader 2026 updates that Ineos says improve how the truck drives day to day.
What The Black Edition Adds
The Black Edition is based on the Fieldmaster trim and is offered only in an “Inky Black” exterior finish with a darker set of exterior details. Ineos pairs that paint with gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels, a black grille, privacy glass, and darkened skid plate elements, creating a monochrome look that is meant to feel more upscale than the standard off-road spec. Inside, the Black Edition also leans into the theme with a darker cabin treatment, including a dark headliner and black carpeting, while retaining the Fieldmaster’s comfort-focused equipment set.
Pricing depends on market, but reporting puts the Black Edition at $82,995, and Ineos is presenting it as a limited-run, ready-to-order package rather than a permanent new core trim.
2026 Updates Beyond The Appearance Package
The Black Edition is launching at the same time as a meaningful mechanical update across the 2026 Grenadier range. Ineos says the big change is variable-ratio steering, aimed at sharpening response and making the vehicle feel less cumbersome in normal driving.
The 2026 update is also described as tightening the turning circle by about 5 percent through revised steering stops, which is a practical improvement for a tall, boxy 4×4 that spends time in urban environments as well as on trails.
Built To Be Expensive, And Still Built For Niche Use
The Grenadier’s pricing and positioning are inseparable from how it is built and where it comes from, and that is part of why the Black Edition exists, it sells a premium spec without pretending the vehicle is a mainstream value play, which helps explain why even cosmetic editions sit in a higher price band than many buyers expect.
At the same time, Ineos continues to lean into special-purpose variants that push the Grenadier deeper into niche territory, including a safari-style variant. For buyers who want capability rather than a dark styling package, Ineos also has more extreme hardware programs underway, including portal axles.
