The Xiaomi 17 series is yet to make its global debut, despite being launched in September last year. In fact, the phones in the lineup were among the first to get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Though there are 4 models in the series, rumors suggest that only two will roll out globally: the vanilla variant and the Ultra. While we wait for the announcement, new leaks now shed light on key Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra details, including the global price of the former, storage options, and colors.
Global Xiaomi 17 price and battery capacity leak
A German retailer listing, as spotted by Notebookcheck, shows the global Xiaomi 17 will cost €1,099 (~ $1,312) for the 512GB variant. This means the base 256GB variant will be slightly cheaper, possibly €999. Besides price, the listing also shows off some key specs of the Xiaomi 17, revealing a notable battery downgrade over its Chinese counterpart.
Unlike the Xiaomi 17 China variant, which has a 7,000mAh battery, the global model will get a smaller battery. The image in the listing shows that the global version will get a 6,330mAh cell. While it’s still a downgrade, it’s a good 20% increase from the predecessor (Xiaomi 15), which just had a 5,240mAh cell. It will still support 100W charging, though.Â
The image shows it’ll get a 50MP front camera and a 50MP rear Leica camera. The phone will get a 6.31-inch display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and HyperOS.
Storage and color options
Separately, a new leak from Sudhanshu Ambhore reveals the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra colors and memory options. The leak says the Xiaomi 17 series will soon launch globally, although an exact date is not mentioned. The global lineup may include the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, much like last year. This means Xiaomi may keep the Pro and Pro Max variants exclusive to China, unless plans change.
The tipster adds that the vanilla Xiaomi 17 could be available in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. It may arrive in blue, black, and green color shades. The larger Xiaomi 17 Ultra could get 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB RAM+storage models. Users could get a choice of black, white, and green colors. While it’s not official, the Xiaomi 17 series may debut globally at MWC 2026 in March.
