Property Commerce sold a lot in its Dripping Springs retail center to Target. The Austin Business Journal reports that Target bought 10 acres in The Village at Dripping Springs to build a 145,000-square-foot store. The site is at 13550 W. U.S. Highway 290. The company is expected to break ground on the store before summer and complete construction by 2028.
The Village at Dripping Springs, a 26-acre development, has more than 19,000 square feet of retail space available, plus four pad sites along U.S. Highway 290 totaling about 5 acres.
Target has three stores in Hays County that sit along or near I-35, and the nearest Target to Dripping Springs’ city center is about 15 miles away in Southwest Austin and Bee Cave.Â
