
ShopOne Centers REIT, together with its joint venture partners Pantheon, acquired Beltway South, a 114,099-square-foot retail property located in Houston, Texas. It’s first in Texas. While no seller was mentioned in the announcement, the center is highlighted on Weitzman’s website. The site noted that Beltway South was 92% occupied.
Beltway South is anchored by a renovated Kroger, with a mix of national and regional retailers. Tenants include Petco, CATO, Subway, State Farm, and a variety of local service providers and dining options.
The center is ocated along Beltway 8 in southeast Houston, an area characterized by strong population density and solid household incomes.
ShopOne Centers manages and operates market-dominant, grocery-anchored and necessity-based shopping centers across the country. With this acquisition, ShopOne’s portfolio grows to 23 grocery-anchored centers.
