At CES last week, we got our hands on some new cases that will be coming out pretty soon for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. As you likely know, Unpacked has been pushed back until mid-late February this year. Versus being a week or two after CES, like the last couple of years.
ESR is one of those brands that were showing off Galaxy S26 cases last week at Pepcom, along with their lineup of other products. Here we have their clear case option and their dual-layer option for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This year, unfortunately, they won’t be offering cases for the entire Galaxy S26 lineup, only the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Keep in mind that ESR mostly focuses on the iPhone, so sticking to just the most popular Android flagship phone is a good idea.
All of these cases have magnets for MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging. We’re still holding out hope that Samsung will add MagSafe charging this year, but that might not happen. Previously, Samsung made the Galaxy S25 Qi2-ready, meaning that it had the Qi2 charging speeds but not the magnets for alignment. However, Google did add the magnets in the Pixel 10 series, leading us to believe that a lot of Android OEMs might follow suit this year.
These cases confirm the leaked CADs
These cases do pretty much confirm the leaked CADs from a few months ago. Showing that huge camera bump, and the buttons on the right side. However, this doesn’t necessarily confirm the exact style of the camera bump, since it is just a large cutout for the entire camera module.
Samsung is likely going to announce the Galaxy S26 series the week of February 23, essentially a week before Mobile World Congress, when the rest of its competitors will announce new devices.
