The Google Pixel 10a is slated to be released pretty soon, even though earlier rumors pointed to it launching before the end of 2025; that obviously did not happen.
We now have the first official-looking render for the Pixel 10a, after releasing CAD renders a few months ago. We’ve also seen the spec sheet leak just last month, which didn’t bring us any real surprises in terms of specs, as we basically know what to expect from the a-series now.
This render shows the black version, which will likely use the “Obsidian” name once again. A name that Google has used for Black since the Pixel 6 redesign. It’s going to look virtually identical to the Pixel 9a from last year, wth that flat back and thick bezels. Though the higher-end Pixel 10 models also sport rather thick bezels, so this is definitely not a surprise.
We’re still looking at two rear cameras with the hole-punch camera on the front. It really looks like a carbon copy of the Pixel 9a, which is not a surprise, as Google has said they stick with the same design for three generations now, which means the Pixel 11a will also look the same.

Specs will be almost identical to the Pixel 9a
The specs of the Google Pixel 10a will also be nearly identical to the Pixel 9a, including the 6.3-inch display. This is actually going to be a 6.285-inch display, but Google and most other smartphone makers will round that up to 6.3 inches. It’ll still be 120Hz and can switch to 60Hz, so not a full LTPO display here.
Google is also using 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but it’s likely that a 256GB model will also be available. Google has crammed a 5,100mAh capacity battery inside, which is not going to be silicon-carbon still, and it’ll likely use 23W for its max charging speed.
The December listing did not mention the chipset, but we’ve heard from previous leaks that the Pixel 10a will use a souped-up Tensor G4 processor. So not quite the same chip as the rest of the Pixel 10 series.
As far as a release date goes, we’re expecting to see this launch in the Spring, likely around March or April. The Pixel 9a was announced in March, but ended up getting delayed until April due to an unknown manufacturing issue.
