While Toyota ranks near the top of any list of most reliable automakers, the sheer scale at which the brand operates means that recalls are inevitable. You can’t ship ten million vehicles a year without having some of them being sent back to the dealer to work out the bugs. As a consumer, it’s only worth worrying about when major safety recalls are seemingly never-ending, such as the Takata airbag recall – the biggest in automotive history.
