C.W. Driver Companies has broken ground on a $15-million Beaumont Carnegie Library renovation and expansion project. Originally built in 1914, the historic library will be modernized to meet seismic, accessibility and safety standards while incorporating a 9,100-square-foot addition.
Located at 125 E. 8th St. in Beaumont, the project will be completed in two phases to ensure the library remains accessible during construction. When completed in 2026, the revitalized 20,700-square-foot facility will provide modernized reading spaces, upgraded technology and expanded programming areas to serve the growing Beaumont community.
“The Beaumont Carnegie Library has been a pillar of this community for over a century, and we are honored to help preserve its history while expanding its impact,” said Tom Jones, project executive, C.W. Driver Companies. “This project is a testament to the city’s dedication to education and community engagement, and we’re excited to bring this vision to life.”
