Paramount Realty USA, in collaboration with listing agents Atelier and Open Impact Real Estate, announced that “The Lumberyard,” a 20,208-square-foot NYS Qualified Production Facility with a 1.06-acre waterfront development site in downtown Catskill, NY, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Thursday, March 20.
Originally listed for sale in 2023 for $11,500,000, the property is now available via auction with a reserve price of $6,350,000, a 45% reduction. The upcoming auction follows Gov. Kathy Hochul’s announcement that The Village of Catskill has been awarded a $10-million grant under the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, meant to improve downtowns for projects that benefit the communities.
“Over the past decade, New York State’s attractive film tax credits have spawned the creation of incredible new film and production facilities like The Lumberyard outside New York City, providing film studios and local filmmakers and production companies with a best-in-class location to film,” said co-listing broker Alex Smith, SVP of OPEN.
