While we are still quite a long time ahead of Apple’s next flagship release, leaks and rumors have already started surfacing online. A new report suggests that the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro may not feature significant design changes. The Pro models may look very similar to the current device. Moreover, the company is also preparing to move the device into early production testing.
Apple to soon begin testing its upcoming iPhone 18 lineup
Popular tipster Fixed Focus Digital has claimed that Apple is all set to begin the testing of its upcoming iPhone 18 series devices. The testing is said to take place shortly after the New Year. Moreover, the report also suggests that the tech giant is planning to conduct mass production trials ahead of China’s Spring Festival, which falls in mid-February 2026.
The aforementioned timelines are pretty much in line with Apple‘s usual development cycle. It usually ramps up the manufacturing validation before the summer. This is to ensure that enough supply has been created for the September launch. The products go through multiple rounds of revisions and stress testing across partners before final tooling decisions are approved by senior operations teams globally.
iPhone 18 Pro may not carry huge design changes
In the same report, the tipster has said that the iPhone 18 Pro models won’t carry any dramatic design changes. For reference, the iPhone 17 Pro models introduced a new design language. The company is expected to carry that for the coming few generations. The tipster describes the change as “smaller than expected.”
Apple is not only deciding to go with the last generation’s design to maintain consistency but also to simplify manufacturing and content reuse as well. Anyway, the leak should be viewed cautiously due to the tipster’s mixed track record. Some of their leaks have been proven right, but some have not.
