Recently, we drove the all-new Acura ADX and found ourselves underwhelmed by the drivetrain, and came to the conclusion that it undermined the chassis to the point that it killed the sportiness. Which is an issue in a premium sporty crossover. With the sportiness gone, the Acura ADX is reduced to an upmarket take on the Honda HR-V. Both are sub-compact crossovers built on the same platform, both have under 200 horsepower at their disposal, and both use a continually variable transmission (CVT) in place of a traditional automatic.
