Geely is venturing into China’s burgeoning market for high-end minivans with its all-new Galaxy V900. Unveiled at the recent Guangzhou Auto Show, it’s Geely’s answer to the Li Auto Mega, but unlike that vehicle, it is a range-extender, rather than an EV.
While customer deliveries are yet to begin, the V900 has already pushed itself into the limelight by securing an unlikely Guinness World Record.

As part of a promotional campaign for the launch, Geely decided to test just how many passengers could be squeezed into the van, recruiting no less than 42 petite female dancers for the challenge.
Remarkably, the women appeared to fit inside the minivan quite comfortably, or at least as comfortably as 42 people can, earning Geely a record for the most passengers ever packed into a vehicle of this type.
The Important Details
Of course, the V900 has plenty more going for it than simply having a cavernous cabin. The minivan was originally introduced by Geely in mid-2024 and sold as the L380 through the Geely-owned LEVC – London EV Company.
However, following a period of dismal sales, Geely decided to relaunch it in China under the Galaxy brand, slashing its price by 80,000 yuan ($11,000) in the process. Next year, the L380 will be sold as an EV in the UK.
Powering the extended-range version of the V900 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that serves exclusively as a generator. Chinese buyers can order the MPV with a 43.3 kWh or a 50 kWh battery pack, for an electric driving range of between 165 km (102 miles) and 202 km (125 miles).
As you could have probably guessed from the photos, this thing is very big, measuring 5,360 mm (211 inches) long, 1,998 mm (78.6 inches) wide, and standing 1,940 mm (76.3 inches) tall with a 3,200 mm (125.9-inch) wheelbase.
In a bid to promote the luxurious nature of the V900, Geely has even fitted it with front and rear badges clad in 24-carat gold.
Shoppers will be able to order the V900 in six- and eight-seat configurations. Key interior details include a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, a 15.4-inch infotainment display, wireless phone chargers, a thumping Flyme Sound audio system, and a large storage fridge.
