The current benchmark for advanced driver aids right now is the ability to operate the vehicle hands-free. General Motors and Mercedes-Benz were early adopters of such technologies, quickly followed by Ford. Now you can find GM’s Super Cruise in everything from Chevys to Cadillacs, and BlueCruise in Fords and Lincolns. Rivian is the next automaker to join the hands-free club with its Enhanced Highway Assist, which is available for select customers right now. It nearly matches the capabilities of the competition, and Rivian is promising more to come.
