But the good news is that T-Mobile is bringing back its Un-carrier attitude with a new way to make the switch easier than ever.
T-Mobile’s new Un-carrier move
Recently at a live event at the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, T-Mobile announced its new Un-carrier move called “Switching Made Easy.” The carrier designed this new program to make switching carriers quick and easy, or rather, make switching to T-Mobile a quick and painless process.
The company says by using the T-Life app, it will tackle one of the biggest pain points of switching carriers. In fact, T-Mobile boasts that with the app, new customers will be able to switch over to T-Mobile in just 15 minutes. It also touts the use of AI tools like Easy Switch, which helps identify and recommend the best plans for the customer.
This will be based on the customer’s existing AT&T or Verizon account. So, instead of users having to figure out a new T-Mobile plan that gets them something close to their old plan, AI will do the job for them. Also, if you just signed on with T-Mobile and want your new phone, you won’t have to wait days or weeks for it.
T-Mobile says that with DoorDash Drive, new customers can even get their brand new phones on the same day itself.
Other perks
In addition to faster switching and same-day delivery of your phone, you’ll get all the perks T-Mobile customers have been enjoying. This includes gaining Magenta Status which unlocks perks like free in-flight WiFi, free international data in over 215 countries, exclusive hotel and rental car perks, T-Mobile Tuesday events, and more.
According to T-Mobile CEO Srini Goplan, “It’s crazy that you can get almost anything these days with a few easy taps on your phone, except wireless. At T-Mobile, we’ve taken the best of technology to bring switching into the 21st century, so that anyone can get a better value and a better experience in just 15 minutes, all on America’s Best Network.”
