The OnePlus 15 teardown shows us the insides of the company’s latest flagship
The teardown has been performed by WekiHome, on YouTube. You can check out that video below, but keep in mind it’s not in English. So we’ll talk more about what’s going on in the rest of the article. OnePlus Club did help with translating the details.
If you take a look at the image below, you’ll see a comparison between the OnePlus 15’s and OnePlus 13’s internals. The change you’ll notice immediately is the size of the battery. The OnePlus 15 does have a silicon-carbon battery, just like the OnePlus 13, but a much bigger one. It includes a 7,3000mAh unit, compared to a 6,000mAh battery inside the OnePlus 13.

In the video, it is noted that both RAM and storage are provided by Samsung. LPDDR5X RAM is used, and it supports speeds of up to 10,667 Mbps. UFS 4.1 storage is used, along with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which sits below the RAM and above the storage in the company’s in-house G2 gaming network chip.
OnePlus improved the speaker setup
The OnePlus 15 also has stereo speakers (top and bottom), which use the AAC 1510 specification. Each of them is placed inside a metal package filled with N’Bass acoustic material. This is an improvement compared to the OnePlus 13.
The OnePlus 15 also has slightly smaller camera sensors than the OnePlus 13, unfortunately, which is also something you’ll see in the provided video. You can see various other details in this 11-minute video, as basically every detail inside the phone is shown.
OnePlus has already announced this smartphone for global markets. The thing is, it has been delayed in the US, but it’s coming soon.
