Cushman & Wakefield announced that Senior Director Aaron Barnard, SIOR, CCIM, has been named President-Elect of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors to serve a one-year term on the SIOR Board of Directors. Barnard works out of Cushman’s Bloomington, Minnesota office, and is a 33-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry.

Kiser Group launched an Affordable Housing Division, a new business service dedicated to serving clients focused on mission-driven investments and community-impact development. The division will be led by Directors Alex Mora and Spencer Burd, who bring specialized expertise in affordable housing transactions, public-private partnerships, and long-term investment strategies.
National architectural and design firm Vocon has announced the opening of its new Chicago office at 730 N. Franklin St. in the landmark Central Arts Building. Leading the new office as Studio Director will be Sophie Bidek, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, and the immediate past president of CREW Chicago.
According to a recent event hosted by the Chicagoland Apartment Association, the supply of new apartments in downtown Chicago in the coming year will only modestly increase from 2025, which was downtown’s lowest level in more than a decade. The outlook is far stronger in the suburban market, where levels are maintaining 96% occupancy and housing providers have close to 4,700 new apartment units currently under construction. The annual forecast was researched and presented by Ron DeVries, senior managing director of Integra Realty Resources.
