OnePlus has started teasing the arrival of the OnePlus 15R, and a new smartwatch, it seems. As part of it, the company has revealed part of the design of the OnePlus 15R, and gave us a sketch of the upcoming watch.
Part of the OnePlus 15R’s design gets shown ahead of launch
These images have been taken from the OnePlus’ UK website, but they’re also shared on some other official sites as teasers. If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll see two images which are showing the same thing. The first image shows the original image of the OnePlus 15R, and the second shows an edited version with brightness tuned up so that you can see the phone.
You’ll notice that the OnePlus 15R will have a similar camera deco as the OnePlus 13s. Its backplate will be flat, and so will the sides. The corners of the phone will be rounded, and you’ll also notice the volume rocker key on the right side. The phone is shown in green and gray images here.
If this design looks familiar to you, it’s because it’s identical to the OenPlus Ace 6 that launched in China last month. There’s a good chance the OnePlus 15R will be based on that phone. That means we could get the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 7,800mAh battery, and 120W charging, amongst other specs.
The OnePlus Ace 6T is also on the way, and that one will presumably use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. There’s a chance the OnePlus 15R could end up using that chip instead, we’ll have to wait and see.
A new smartwatch is also coming
Now, as for the second teaser, for the watch. You can see that image below. You’ll notice a sketch of a watch with a round display. Based on this design, we do believe that the frame will be made out of stainless steel, and you can also see a button in the top-right corner. That seems to be a rotating crown key. The lugs are also visible.
The OnePlus 15R was mentioned by name by OnePlus, while this new watch, was not. So we don’t know its name yet, but it did pop up on European OnePlus websites only, at least for now. OnePlus is saying that both devices are ‘Coming soon’, and is offering discounts if you subscribe to a newsletter.
