Record-Breaking Celebration
Anytime a Guinness World Recordsrecord is broken, it is a big deal. Especially so when it’s connected to cars – not because this is a car website, but because behind every record-breaking feat, just imagine the logistics hidden in the background just to make that happen.
That said, in Japan, a new record has been set, specifically by Honda – not by the automaker itself, but by the owners of the vehicles. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Honda S660 two-seater, an iconic but discontinued model in Japan, a record-breaking number of owners unite to set a new record for the largest parade of Hondas ever.

The event was held on November 15 and was organized by the S660 Chubu Community (owners’ club), where they were able to gather 832 S660s at the famed Honda stomping grounds, the Suzuka Circuit. This earned them the distinction from the Guinness Book of World Records as the “Largest Honda car Parade” ever staged.
During the event, all Honda employees involved in the development and production of the vehicle also participated, along with club members. As the 832 kei cars paraded around the circuit, a Guinness World Records adjudicator confirmed that all regulations had been met and certified the new record. This event highlighted just how popular and beloved Honda’s small two-seater convertible really is.

More Car Guinness World Records
There are other notable automotive gathering records as well. In May 1995, a gathering of 2,728 Volkswagen Beetles was recorded in São Paolo, Brazil, which remains the largest single-model gathering to date. Subaru holds the credit for the largest “Single Manufacturer Gathering” at 1,751 vehicles during the 2020 Subiefest held in the US.
In the realm of high performance, the largest Supercar and Hypercar gathering took place, featuring a collection of 179 vehicles. Interestingly, the event was held at the Angkor Wat World Heritage site in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in September 2024. This was done in partnership with the Gumball 3000 (a long-distance race series) and the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism.
One interesting world record is the “Largest Ensemble of Car Horns”, which was done in the Philippines by the Ford Everest Club. That record, of course, required synchronized honking with a total of 1,077 owners participating in the event.
