Nothing about Nissan feels particularly certain right now. In addition to the same difficult market other automakers are dealing with (fluctuating demands for EVs, trade barriers, tough competition from China), Nissan has been in a tougher financial position than others. The company seems to have plans for some interesting products, and it has begun its rollout with the highly compelling Leaf, but in this environment, nothing can be taken for granted. That especially goes for products further into the future, such as the next-generation GT-R. According to a Nissan executive, that flagship sports car still doesn’t have a set path.
