Google TV homescreen redesign for 2025 is now reportedly rolling out to more users, as per 9To5Google. However, it’s still not widely available. The redesign was first reported back in September, with the primary focus on new navigation and reorganization. Shortly after, Google, too, apparently acknowledged the change.
Google TV’s homescreen redesign for 2025 is rolling out to more users
The report notes that the redesign appeared on two of their Google TV streamers. The top bar now shows fewer tabs, with just ‘Home,’ ‘Live,’ and ‘Apps.’ We also see icons for search, screensaver, and quick settings. The right edge of the screen shows the time and Google TV branding.
Under the profile menu, Google TV now lists your watchlist, library, services, and content preferences. The Watchlist and Library sections also see a design change with a large header and a horizontally scrolling list of content. The ‘Content preferences’ and ‘Your services’ remain the same; so does the Search tab.

Not everyone is seeing the change just yet
The Settings page, as usual, includes options for the Screensaver, Ethernet, Google Home, Accessibility, Audio output, and Bluetooth. There is a section for Developer Options as well, if enabled. As said, not everyone is seeing the Google TV homescreen redesign at the moment, hinting at a phased rollout.
Furthermore, the report notes that the Google TV homescreen redesign for 2025 is rolling out independently of the Gemini update. Both of the streaming units are reportedly still on Assistant despite getting the redesign. To recall, the tech giant announced the Gemini rollout for Google TV Steamer earlier this week.
