The Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge images have just surfaced online, kind of. These are real-life images, but they’re showing the Galaxy S26 Edge dummy, not an actual phone. As many of you know, Samsung will not release the Galaxy S26 Edge at all, at least based on what we know thus far. More on that later.
The Galaxy S26 Edge design and thickness get shown thanks to its dummy
If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll see the aforementioned dummy photos. These images come from OnLeaks, a well-known tipster. You can see that the phone has a thickness of 5.5mm
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick, so its successor was supposed to be noticeably thinner. It was actually supposed to be even thinner than the iPhone Air, which measures 5.6mm.
In the images above, the tipster compares the Galaxy S26 Edge thickness to that of the iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro is not a thick phone by any means, but it does seem thick next to the Galaxy S26 Edge.
The iPhone 16 Pro actually seems thick next to it
The iPhone 16 Pro measures 8.3mm, so it’s not surprising that a 5.5mm phone seems noticeably thinner in comparison. The main advantage of having such a thin phone is that you can put a case on it and not make it thick at all.
Now, in regards to the Galaxy S26 Edge’s availability. It was expected to arrive alongside the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra, but that won’t happen. Samsung has decided to bring the Galaxy S26 instead of the Galaxy S26 Pro, and the Galaxy S25+ instead of the Galaxy S26 Edge.
We’ve revealed that Galaxy S26 Edge design a while back, and then we followed up with the Galaxy S26+ design. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series will arrive towards the end of January next year, based on the latest information. The Galaxy S26 Edge, however, is not expected to launch at all. The Galaxy S25 Edge sales were so bad that Samsung decided to scrap its successor, it seems.
