The NVIDIA SHIELD Experience 9.2 landed back in February with plenty of new enhancements. Well, the SHIELD Experience 9.2.2 is now rolling out to the NVIDIA SHIELD TV devices.
We’ve received the update, and based on Reddit comments, so have a number of other people. NVIDIA has also listed the details on its official website, thus confirming the update is rolling out to everyone.
New NVIDIA SHIELD TV update improves stability, addresses quality of life issues & more
The build number here is ‘33.2.0.382’, and NVIDIA says that the update is coming to all SHIELD and SHIELD Pro units. The company says that the update “addresses many quality of life issues reported in the field, improving stability and compatibility with other devices in your home entertainment center.”
What exactly is changing? Well, the SHIELD TV is now more accessible to people with disabilities. NVIDIA made design improvements and improved compatibility with assistive technologies.

A pairing alert sound has been added to assist users when pairing the SHIELD Remote and Controller in both OOBE and Settings. The company also added the Bounce Keys feature.
The Accessibility Key Repeat feature has been implemented, while the settings UI for accessibility timeout has been added. The NVIDIA SHIELD TV devices now also support TalkBack TTS in 23 European languages.
One Disney+ related bug fix is also mentioned
When it comes to bugs, NVIDIA listed only one change in the changelog. The company mentioned that it fixed the audio dropout with Disney+.
This update is rolling out to all NVIDIA SHIELD and SHIELD Pro users, though do keep in mind that it’s rolling out in stages. In other words, you may not get it straight away. Some of you probably already received it, as we did, while others will have to wait a bit. It should roll out to everyone soon, though.
