It seems as if we are in the midst of the rumor mill for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, as we’re seeing new leaks every day. And now, we’re hearing from Ice Universe, who is pretty accurate, about the final dimensions for each model. This is not based on the CAD data, so the dimensions that we published already are going to be slightly different.
- Samsung Galaxy S26: 6.3″ display; 149.4 x 71.5 x 6.9mm
- Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus: 6.7″ display; 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm
- Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: 6.9″ display; 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm
Now, when you compare these dimensions to what we learned from the CADs that we’ve released, they are pretty similar. Keep in mind that CADs are pretty close, typically within half a millimeter or so. For example, the Galaxy S26 Ultra was 163.4 x 77.9 x 7.9mm, so the dimensions were very similar here.
Galaxy S26 series is slated for a February launch
Unlike the past couple of years where Samsung decided to launch the Galaxy S series in January shortly after CES, this year it seems like Samsung is moving back to February. Recent leaks have shown that Unpacked will take place on February 25. That is a week before Mobile World Congress, and would mean that they would essentially be taking over MWC like they did before the pandemic.
This also means that we’re likely to see an early March availability for the Galaxy S26 series. We’re hoping that this means that the product launch roadmap for the entire year is shifting and moving the foldables back a bit. Because launching those in early July isn’t really a great idea. It essentially starts “TechTober” a few months too early.
But this does mean that we’ll be seeing far more leaks in the coming weeks and months. Since we are about four months away.
