Two trusted sources have just confirmed wired and wireless charging details for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The information comes from Ice Universe and Jukan, as the info claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will get a boost on both accounts.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will offer faster wired & wireless charging
Ice Universe, on one hand, claims that the phone will support 60W charging. He previously claimed that Samsung would stick to 45W charging, but it seems like he changed his mind. Another tipster said the same thing a couple of days ago.
In addition to that, Jukan, another tipster, confirmed that the phone will support 25W wireless charging, and Ice Universe seems to agree with that. So we’ll get 60W wired and 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging.
Needless to say, that are great news. The Galaxy S25 Ultra supports 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. While that’s not bad, it’s a far cry from many of the competitors. This change will bring Samsung closer to them, if nothing else.
It will include magnets, and charge 40% faster wirelessly
Let’s take the OnePlus 15, for example. It supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. That easily beats what Samsung will offer, but Samsung does have another ace up its sleeve… magnets.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with built-in magnets, the same as its siblings. That will enable you to use proper Qi2 charging, and also use a ton of MagSafe/Qi2 magnetic accessories that are already available on the market. That’s something that the OnePlus 15 can’t do, unless you use a specific case.
Previous information claimed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 60W charging will charge at 55W for the first 15%, and then slow down to 45W until it reaches a 70% charge. From that point, the charging slows down even further.
When it comes to 25W wireless charging, it is said that it will be around 40% faster than 15W charging, overall. Charging a phone fully will take around 60 minutes, compared to 100 minutes that 15W charging took.
The Galaxy S26 & S26+ are said to support slightly faster wireless charging
With that being said, Jukan also said that the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will get a wireless charging speed update. Both smartphones will support 20W wireless charging, compared to 15W that their predecessors offered.
