It’s not exactly a secret that Samsung is changing its Galaxy S26 series plans at the last minute. The company decided to ditch the Galaxy S26 Pro, for example, and launch the Galaxy S26 instead. That also changes the design that the company initially planned to use. Well, we bring you some details regarding the latest Galaxy S26 prototype in Samsung’s plans.
Samsung is refining the Galaxy S26, here are the dimensions of the latest prototype
The new Galaxy S26 prototype that the company is working on measures 149.5 x 71.6 x 7.24mm. With the camera bump, its thickness goes up to 10.44mm.
The previous model that the company worked on measured 149.3 x 71.4 x 6.96mm, 10.23mm with the camera bump. So, there’s a 0.28mm difference in the general thickness of the two smartphones and a 0.21mm difference if we count in the camera thickness.
We’re still not sure if this is the final design of the Samsung Galaxy S26, but it could easily be, considering that we’re in mid-November at this point. We still don’t have the pictures of it, unfortunately, but that could be coming in the near future.
The bottom line is, the new model is a bit thicker and has a slightly thicker camera bump. The differences in height and width are so minor that they’re not really worth talking about, actually.
Ice Universe did share a sketch of the phone recently, but it seems like he has a sketch of the second-to-last prototype, as he mentioned a thickness of 6.9mm. The overall design may not change much, however.
It will have a flat display and three cameras on the back
You can still expect the Galaxy S26 to have a flat display on the front, with a centered display camera hole up top. The bezels around the display will be thin and uniform. All of its physical buttons will be included on the right-hand side, and the frame will be flat all around.
On the back, you’ll find a triple camera setup. Those three cameras will be placed in the top-left corner, vertically. They’ll likely sit on a camera island, all three of them, unlike what we’ve seen on the Galaxy S25.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 will also include magnets on the inside, just like its siblings. All three phones are tipped to arrive in late January, at least according to the latest report. Those rumors were all over the place thus far, though.
