OnePlus is continuing to release more details about its upcoming device – the OnePlus 15. Which was already announced in China, so we know most of these details already. But the OnePlus 15 will sport a 7,300mAh capacity battery. That makes it the largest battery available in a smartphone in the US – even larger than the new nubia Z80 Ultra, which is 7,200mAh.
OnePlus is claiming “all-day battery” with this phone, which is what we’d expect with a battery that large.
On top of that, you’re still getting 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging here, and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging to charge up your OnePlus 15 pretty quickly. OnePlus says that this next-generation of Silicon Carbon batteries can still retain about 80% charge after 4 years of usage. And it can also operate in low temperautres, as low as 20 degrees Celsius.
Top-notch cooling and gaming performance
Of course, having a giant battery isn’t the only thing that can contribute to great battery life – just look at the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max battery drain tests. OnePlus also has a new 360-degree Cryo-Velocity Cooling System that integrates a 5,371mm 3D vapor chamber for core heat dissipation. It also has an aerospace-derived aerogel insulation layer that is able to minimize surface heat transfer. This is what helps the 165Hz display continue to perform optimally, even after using the phone for gaming for multiple hours.
OnePlus has already detailed its Gaming features for the OnePlus 15, and it’s now giving us more details about the new 165Hz display. This is an “industry-first” 1.5K 165Hz display. It’s 6.78-inches with a HBM of 1800nits, that means that even in direct sunlight, you’ll have no issues seeing the display.
The company has also achieved TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certification. That means that after looking at this display for multiple hours on end, you won’t have any issues with eye comfort.
The OnePlus 15 global launch is set for a week from today, on November 13. And the OnePlus 15 release date should be the same day. And we already know the OnePlus 15 specs and OnePlus 15 colors.
