
LeftField, a Boston-based owner’s project management consultancy, has joined international project management and cost consulting firm Cumming Group. Terms were not disclosed. This merger doubles New York-based Cumming Group’s size in the region and strengthens its ability to serve both public and private clients in the Northeast.
Founded in 2007 and led by Jim Rogers, LeftField has built a strong reputation in the K–12 education sector, with additional experience in higher education, life sciences and municipal projects. The firm is known across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut for managing public-sector capital programs including schools, athletic facilities, public safety facilities, and community centers, as well as for managing commercial developments including research laboratories and mixed-use higher educational facilities.
The addition of LeftField’s 60-plus team members expands Cumming Group’s presence in New England to over 150 professionals and contributes to a team of over 2,850, positioning it as one of the region’s leading pure-play project management organizations.
