Now, two decades later, Tufty-Time 20 lands in the spotlight with fresh curves, new colors, and extra layers of padded comfort. It’s a milestone that celebrates not only one of B&B Italia’s most successful designs, but also one of Urquiola’s most beloved creations.

Tufty-Time’s enduring appeal, even 20 years later, is a testament to its longevity. Over the decades, the design has evolved through multiple iteration: Tufty-Time, Tufty-Time in leather version, Tufty-Too and Tufty-Time ‘15. To mark this milestone, this anniversary edition underscores that legacy. While the playful modular spirit remains intact, B&B Italia has refreshed the sofa to be even more comfortable, more inviting, and more versatile – if that was ever in doubt.
Tufty-Time 20, comprising 14 modules, introduces a new curved element that softens the sofa’s profile and makes it feel even more at home in relaxed settings. The padding has been re-engineered with a generous layer of recycled polyester between the polyurethane and fabric, creating a seat that’s noticeably plusher. Comfort gets another boost thanks to a slightly increased seat height, while a new exclusive wool chenille fabric channels the nubby texture of bouclé. To round out the collection, coffee tables in solid oak or oak frames topped with brushed anodized aluminum bring added versatility, with a side table that can slot seamlessly between modules. At the end of its lifespan, Tufty-Time 20 can now be fully disassembled, allowing each element to be reused or recycled.
With two decades under its belt, Tufty-Time proves that great design only gets better with age. The anniversary edition honors Urquiola’s original vision while setting the stage for the next 20 years of lounging, gathering, and living.
