- Spy photographers have snapped an updated Range Rover Sport SV.
- The model could arrive as early as next year with a lightly revised design.
- The luxury crossover has a new rear bumper and a center-mounted exhaust.
The third-generation Range Rover Sport still feels new, but it was introduced in 2022. Given this, it’s not surprising that a facelifted prototype was recently spied undergoing testing near the Nürburgring.
Dressed in swirly black and white camouflage, the updated Range Rover Sport SV features a lightly revised front end with a modified grille. We can also see a sportier central intake, which features new outer elements with horizontal fins.
Review: The 2025 Range Rover Sport V8 Shows Luxury Still Has A Wild Side
The rest of the design largely carries over, but the facelifted crossover has a sportier rear end with a center-mounted dual exhaust system. It’s joined by a new rear bumper, which has an integrated diffuser as well as a lower lip.
These are relatively minor updates, but the production model could incorporate additional changes including restyled wheels and updated lighting units. That remains to be seen and it’s unclear if there will be any significant interior revisions.

The current Range Rover Sport SV has a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 626 hp (467 kW / 635 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system. This setup enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
Little else is known about the high-performance crossover at this point, but it’s expected to debut in late 2026 or in 2027. This suggests it could arrive around the same time or slightly after the Range Rover Sport Electric.
We haven’t heard much about that particular model lately, but spy photographers snapped an undisguised prototype over a year ago. It will presumably share its powertrain with the Range Rover Electric, which is slated to have a 117 kWh battery pack as well as a dual-motor all-wheel drive system developing 542 hp (404 kW / 550 PS) and 627 lb-ft (849 Nm) of torque.
