President Trump is expected to hold a roundtable at the White House Thursday afternoon to outline the administration’s efforts to combat crime, as well as drug and human trafficking.
White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, FBI Director Kash Patel and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard are expected to attend.
“In a short period of time, the Trump Administration has removed lethal drugs, illegal weapons, dangerous foreign terrorists and cartel members from American communities,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said in a statement Thursday. “The American people are safer today because of the [Homeland Security Task Forces] — and they’re just getting started.”Â
The roundtable comes as the administration has ramped up its efforts to combat crime across the U.S. and thwart drug cartels in the Caribbean.
The event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. EDT.
