JPMorganChase has officially opened its new global headquarters at 270 Park Ave. in Midtown Manhattan, a 2.5-million-square-foot office tower designed to accommodate 10,000 employees and thousands of daily guests. The financial services giant said its new headquarters represents a major step in its ongoing investment in Midtown and its global office network.
“For more than 225 years, JPMorganChase has been deeply rooted in New York City,” said chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon. “By creating world-class environments where our employees can thrive, we are strengthening our ability to serve our clients and communities – locally and globally – for generations to come.”
In Midtown, the firm worked closely with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to significantly improve the neighborhood’s infrastructure across several blocks. The opening of 270 Park also marks the start of renovations at 383 Madison Ave., directly across the street. Both projects will enhance public spaces with a new plaza on Madison Avenue, wider sidewalks and improved access to Grand Central Terminal, according to JPMorganChase.
