The latest news on the EV front is that Tesla’s affordable models are finally on sale… and they’re selling for closer to $40,000 than the $25,000 we were all told to expect. The Tesla Model Y Standard might not be the bargain of the century that we thought we were going to get, but, at a starting price of $39,990, it’s cheaper than the $44,990 Tesla is asking for the 2026 Long Range RWD model.
