The next-generation Alfa Romeo Stelvio is nearing its global debut, marking the second generation for the brand’s first SUV. Alfa’s “New Chapter” June announcement was thought to be its launchpad, but that turned out to be a disappointment (it was about Alfa Romeo’s sponsorship of a sailing team). Since then, the automaker has yet to release official photos or teasers of the new model.
Fortunately, independent digital creators have filled the void. One of them, known as Kelsonic, has produced a series of renderings that attempt to visualize what Alfa’s next SUV might look like. The images capture the brand’s evolving design language while keeping close to the DNA that made the original Stelvio one of the most distinctive SUVs in its segment.
From Patent Leaks to Digital Reality
Kelsonic’s renderings weren’t simply imagined out of thin air. They are based on leaked patent images that surfaced on Reddit last April. The patent leaks showed a general idea of the contour, shape, and form of the next Stelvio, including striking design decisions front and back.
The front fascia on both the leaks and the renderings takes on a familiar modern Alfa Romeo layout with thin LED strips, the traditional scudetto, and hidden headlights positioned low on the bumper. The artist gives it a slightly more sculpted look than the patents, restoring some of Alfa’s flair lost in the leak.
The most noticeable deviation is in the wheel design, where Kelsonic opted for a more intricate multi-spoke pattern instead of the Quadrifoglio-inspired wheels seen in the original patents. The rear gives the impression of a sleeker and sportier Stelvio, crowned a coupe-like taper and full-width taillight.

What’s Next for the Stelvio
The upcoming Stelvio will reportedly use Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, which means it can host internal combustion, hybrid, and all-electric powertrains. The setup aligns Alfa’s strategy of balancing tradition with electrification, instead of jumping headfirst into a fully electric lineup. Power output and specific variants remain under wraps, but an electric flagship with close to four figures in horsepower has been rumored.
An official reveal is expected by the end of the year, with sales beginning sometime in 2026. For now, these digital interpretations offer the best preview yet of Alfa Romeo’s next step in design and performance evolution.
