
In the 1990s, the idea of a pickup truck being anything more than a vehicle used for work was a new and novel prospect. Prior to then, the pickup was largely relegated to work on farms or construction sites. Spotting one in someone’s driveway, say, in a Chicago suburb, was still relatively uncommon. However, along with the pickup truck becoming more and more versatile with features like four doors and comfortable interiors, another fresh idea regarding the pickup truck came about during the ’90s.
