
- Vanesa Rodriguez joined Colliers as associate vice president, retail services in Central Florida. Rodriguez will join David Gabbai, Alexie Fonseca and Jeff Johnson as part of The Gabbai-Fonseca Retail Team. She will specialize in tenant and landlord representation and identify new and existing opportunities in the Central Florida market.Â
- Stonemont Financial Group completed the 429 Business Center, a 259,255-square-foot industrial complex in Ocoee, Florida, outside of Orlando. The seven-building development is currently 49% pre-leased after breaking ground in 2024. It’s located just inside the State Road 429 corridor. Cam Montgomery and Matt Sullivan with JLL are handling leasing for 429 Business Center on behalf of Stonemont. HGR Construction, Inc. served as general contractor on the project.
- Curran Young Construction is breaking ground on 5300 Summerlin Apartments, a $46 million affordable housing redevelopment in Fort Myers. The development will transform an aging 172-unit property into 230 brand-new apartments across three modern buildings. In addition, residents will benefit from a 4,396-square-foot clubhouse, community gardens, a large dog park, covered pavilions, and grilling areas, amenities designed to foster connection while ensuring access to safe, high-quality housing. The project is slated for completion in 22 months.
- UHealth — the University of Miami Health System opened the doors of UHealth SoLé Mia in South Florida. The seven-story, 363,000-square-foot facility is the largest ambulatory center in UHealth’s network. Patients will find Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, South Florida’s only NCI-designated cancer center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, ranked #1 in the nation for 24 years, Desai Sethi Urology Institute, delivering cutting-edge urologic care.
- A joint venture between Core Spaces and Harrison Street will develop Hub Tampa Fowler, a 1,195-bed student housing development located near the University of South Florida in Tampa. To be built just west of USF’s main campus, the purpose-built development will give students access to campus when it is completed in 2027.
