Online outlet stores are a smart shopper’s secret weapon, offering major discounts on top brands without sacrificing style or quality! We’re sharing the tried-and-true best outlet stores that are actually worth the trip (or the scroll)!
Why are outlet stores cheaper?
Outlet stores are typically cheaper than their retail counterparts, as they sell off-season, overstock, and discontinued items. Plus, in-store outlets are located in less expensive areas, which lowers real estate costs.
Shop like a pro at our top 5 outlet stores (+ 1 to avoid):

The only downside is that there are only two outlet locations in Arizona and Pennsylvania, but if you find yourself near one, it is totally worth the trip!

Can’t get enough handbags? The Kate Spade Outlet is worth an honorable mention to our list!
“My fave is the Kate Spade outlet! They have the CUTEST bags & wallets, but I’d never pay their full prices. Their website is great too, but I swear you can get even better deals in stores if you happen to live near one. They always have a little clearance corner in the back that’s full of different purses, and if they happen to be offering an extra 15-20% off your purchase, that stacks on top of the clearance pricing. And they offer a 10% off student discount, too! I don’t live near one anymore, but every time I visit my mom, I make it a point to head to the outlets to treat myself .” – Hip Sidekick, Erica
3. Best Buy Outlet has 22+ locations nationwide and is totally worth the trip.
Best Buy Outlet is an entire warehouse of open box deals, returns, refurbished, and overstock of large TVs, computers, and more appliances – even dishwashers! Plus, you can conveniently check out their inventory online before you make the trip in-store! Prefer to shop in-store? Head HERE to view a location near you.
See how Lina saved $700 off her dream dishwasher:
We picked up a new Bosch dishwasher that is $1,800 for $1,100! After much research, we knew this is the brand to go with after looking at all the consumer reports. (Side note our GE Monogram lasted 7 years and we had issues starting after year 2-3 which seems not great for the $). As soon as we saw a Bosch panel ready instock we went to look at it– it’s like next level perfection! I can’t even tell it’s on and running so quiet, and it has an app. Love the top rack for silverware. Also we were able to register it with Bosch like normal. – Hip Sidekick, Lina
4. Nordstrom Outlet comes in many different names, but the savings are the same, phenomenal.
Whether you find yourself near a Nordstrom Rack or Last Chance (another name for Nordstrom outlet in Arizona), or prefer to shop online, this outlet is one that never disappoints!
They offer top-tier brands like Jason Wu, Vince Camuto, Sam Edelman, Free People, and much more for a steal! Plus, if you’re lucky enough to catch their popular Clear the Rack sale, you’ll score an additional 25% off!
Oh I forgot the Nordstrom Outlet here called Last Chance! There are two in the US, and i have been shopping at the one here since I was 15. If you love Nordstrom brands, this is the mecca! It’s chaotic and crazy, but the designer deals are incredible. A true outlet where returns and overstock are sent I get lots of Free People, Rails, MOTHER, Cole Haan, Spanx and too many to name brand stuff finds for up to 90% off. It’s a little addicting but way fun! – Hip Sidekick, Lina
5. Take it from the team—Victoria’s Secret Outlet is a hidden gem for deals.
Victoria’s Secret outlets offer discounted prices on a wide selection of the brand’s popular lingerie, sleepwear, loungewear, and beauty products. These stores typically carry past-season items and exclusive outlet deals, making them a great destination for shoppers looking for luxury at a lower price.
Expect the same signature styles and quality, just at more wallet-friendly rates. Plus, with over 100+ locations nationwide, you should be able to find one near you!
Growing up, my mom LOVED the outlets! I haven’t been in years because the nearest one is now hours away, but years ago, the Victoria’s Secret Outlet (ESPECIALLY during the semi-annual sale) was insane. Bin after bin of underwear and bras for under $1,0 and most underwear used to be $1 or $2 max. I used to love going to just stock up! – Hip Sidekick, Monica
I have to second the Victoria’s Secret Outlet! I made a point to check it out last time I was in Orlando and was really impressed with the deals! – Hip Sidekick, Nicole
WARNING: Not all outlets are created equal. Crocs is one we’d pass on.
Deal extraordinaire, Nicole, said it best…
“I was, however, EXTREMELY disappointed with the deals at the outlets in Kittery a couple of summers ago when we went. I didn’t end up buying a single thing because we regularly post MUCH better deals for all of the stores we checked out. The one store that surprised me the most as having the worst deals was the Crocs outlet. I was SO bummed because I had every intention of getting Caleb his first Crocs that day, but I just couldn’t justify the prices.” – Hip Sidekick, Nicole
