Ram is reversing its decision to drop its Hemi V8 in the Ram 1500, since it says that Ram “screwed up when we dropped the Hemi — we own it and we fixed it.”

The 5.7-liter V8 is coming back, just how it left with a 48-volt eTorque hybrid system that generates 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. This means that the Hemi will sit in the middle of the Ram’s engine lineup, since it will have more power than the 3.6-liter V6, but less than the Hurricane twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that has either 420 or 550 horsepower.

You’ll be able to tell that there’s a Hemi under the hood thanks to the “Symbol of Protest Badge” on the front fenders.
The Hemi is available on the 2026 Ram 1500 Tradesman, Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel, Limited and Longhorn.
