A new direction for the German automaker
The Porsche Cayenne Electric kicks off a new era for the brand. It’s Porsche’s first fully electric SUV, and it’s not shy about showing what the company can do with EV tech. With up to 850 kW (1,139 hp), a 0-60 mph time of 2.4 seconds, and up to 400 kW charging capability, this is not just the most powerful production Porsche ever – it’s also one of the most versatile. Whether you’re carving up a canyon road, getting dirty off the pavement, or settling in for a long highway run, the Cayenne Electric is designed to do it all.

Two models at launch
Porsche is rolling out two versions to start: the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric.
- Cayenne Turbo Electric
Up to 850 kW (1,139 hp) with Launch ControlUp to 1,106 lb-ft of torque
0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds
Top speed: 162 mph
Push-to-Pass boosts output for up to 10 seconds
- Cayenne Electric
300 kW (402 hp) in normal driving325 kW (435 hp) with Launch Control
0–60 mph in 4.5 seconds
Top speed: 143 mph
A key highlight is the Turbo model’s motorsport-inspired direct oil cooling for the rear electric motor, allowing consistent high output and great efficiency.

Charging & range tech
Porsche didn’t hold back on charging performance. The Cayenne EV can handle up to 400 kW DC fast charging in ideal conditions, with a 10–80% charge time of under 16 minutes. The German automaker is also debuting its optional inductive home charging technology, allowing you to just park over a floor pad and charge the SUV automatically. Energy recuperation is strong too, with up to 600 kW of regenerative braking available. In everyday driving, around 97% of braking can be handled by the motors alone.

Chassis & off-Road capability
The Cayenne Electric is built to handle all kinds of driving. Standard features include adaptive air suspension with PASM, Electronic Porsche Traction Management (ePTM), optional rear-axle steering with up to 5 degrees of movement, and available Porsche Active Ride, which drastically reduces body movement.
The Turbo version adds Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and can be optioned with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). An off-road option package will also be available, adding different front and rear components to improve off-road performance.

Bigger, roomier & more useful
The Cayenne Electric is slightly longer than the gas model, with a stretched 119-inch wheelbase that adds significant rear legroom. Other utility highlights include 19.5 to 56.1 cu-ft of cargo space, a 3.2 cu-ft front trunk, towing capacity up to 7,716 lbs when properly equipped, and standard electrically adjustable rear seats.
Inside, Porsche introduced new Mood Modes, which adjust lighting, seat position, sound, and more. The optional Variable Light Control panoramic roof uses liquid crystal tech to switch opacity electronically. A new interior surface heating system warms not just the seats, but the armrests and door panels too. Ambient lighting with a communication light adds a high-tech, welcoming feel.
Customization is wider than ever, too. Owners can choose from 13 standard exterior colors, nine wheel designs ranging from 20 to 22 inches, twelve interior combinations, multiple interior and accent packages, and, of course, optional Paint to Sample and Sonderwunsch personalization.

Next-generation Porsche driver experience
Inside the cabin, Porsche redesigned the display and control layout around the new Flow Display, a curved OLED screen that spans the center area. It separates viewing and control zones for easier operation. Supporting screens include a 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.9-inch passenger display, and an available AR head-up display that projects a 87-inch virtual image onto the windshield.
Physical buttons remain for key controls like climate and audio, but Porsche kept tactility where it matters. A “Ferry Pad” hand rest helps the driver operate both touch and physical controls comfortably. Porsche Digital Interaction adds a new digital layer to those physical interfaces a well, with customizable widgets and themes, a growing suite of third-party apps, built-in streaming and gaming, a much smarter Voice Pilot that uses AI to understand natural speech, and Porsche Digital Key, which turns your phone or watch into a key that can be shared with up to seven people.

Final thoughts
The Cayenne Electric lineup joins the existing combustion and hybrid models, which continue to be offered worldwide. Orders are open now, and deliveries will begin late Summer 2026. The Cayenne Electric will have a starting price of $109,000, and the Cayenne Turbo Electric starts at $163,000.
