One of the weird things about the electric car age is that automakers can make dramatic powertrain changes quite quickly. A few years ago, Polestar suddenly switched the single-motor 2 from front-wheel-drive to rear-wheel-drive. Cadillac is doing something somewhat similar with its entry-level Optiq.
