Who here remember the Byton M-Byte? It was a Chinese-made electric SUV concept that debuted in 2018, and would probably have made production had the Hong Kong manufacturer not gone bust. While none of that sounds particularly memorable, the M-Byte did feature one of the most outlandish near-production cabin designs we’ve seen to-date, as Byton replaced almost all the switchgear with three digital touchscreens. No, seriously. There was an 8-inch screen on the center console, a 7-inch iPad-esque tablet on the steering wheel, and a massive, 48-inch wraparound screen on the dash.
