When Chevrolet launched the all-new C7 Corvette for the 2014 model year, its 6.2-liter LT1 naturally aspirated V8 made 455 horsepower if you opted for the sports exhaust system, sufficient for a 0-60 run of about 3.8 seconds with the automatic transmission in ideal conditions. There was a seven-speed manual available too, though shifting your own gears slows things down a little. The C7-generation Corvette has now come and gone, leaving behind a legacy of attainable high performance, not to mention the last Corvette generation with its engine up front.
