Toyota kicked off production this week at its new battery factory in North Carolina. The factory represents a nearly $14 billion investment by the car company that will supply battery packs for current models such as the RAV4, and future models. The company wasn’t just announcing the start of production, though. It also took the moment to announce many more billions in investment, as well as outline what kind of production will be added at the battery plant over time.
