Around 16 years ago, the luxury arm of Nissan wanted to try to disrupt the high-end convertible landscape. Infiniti felt that it could offer a fresh alternative to the likes of the Audi A5, BMW 3 Series Convertible, or the Lexus IS C. And on paper, there’s no reason why the Infiniti G Convertible (more often referred to as the G37 Convertible) could not achieve its goal, as it seemed to have all the right ingredients. However, the result was not what Nissan or Infiniti were looking for, and the total package fell short. While this convertible may have failed to impress back then, the model may offer a reasonably affordable choice today for those seeking a bona fide luxury cabriolet.
