Theodore Robert Bundy was one of America’s most infamous, most prolific serial killers. Initially seen as a charming law student, he confessed to murdering at least 30 young women across several states between 1974 and 1978. It was a killing spree that shook America to its core, because the murders blended (we’re not sensationalizing it in any way!) intellectual poise with unimaginable brutality. Bundy’s reign of terror spanned Washington, Utah, Colorado, and Florida, where he’d assault his victims before disposing of their bodies in remote areas. He didn’t fly between states; instead, the Ted Bundy car was an unassuming tan 1968 Volkswagen Beetle.
